Hemorrhoid Treatment Procedures
Hemorrhoid Banding: Also known as rubber-band ligation, hemorrhoid banding is a treatment used to tie-off the hemorrhoid veins from the body, so that blood flow to the tissues is stopped, causing them to shrink, die, and purge from the body — usually within a week’s time. Talk to Dr. Klin to see if this treatment may be right for you.
Infrared Therapy for Hemorrhoids: Infrared coagulation treatment consists of inserting a small instrument into the anus that emits a painless burst of infrared light directly onto the infected tissue. This light causes the hemorrhoidal vein to coagulate, or scar, reducing blood flow to the hemorrhoid, eventually causing it to shrivel, harden, and fall off.
